If you weren't lucky enough (and able to survive the server crush) to register for Google I/O 2011 before all the tickets sold out, Google VP of engineering Vic Gundotra has announced that Google will be handing out 100 free tickets to winners of a mini-developers challenge. The contest starts March 16, spans 10 days, and 10 winners will be selected each day. Sure sounds better than eBay auctions. Here aer the gritty details:"We will announce a new challenge on the contest site on select dates at either 9am or 4pm PDT, that will last for 24 hours each. There will be 10 days of challenges with 10 winners on each day, spanning the following developer products:March 16 - Android, 9:00 amMarch 17 - Chrome, 9:00 amMarch 18 - App Engine, 9:00 amMarch 21 - YouTube APIs, 9:00 amMarch 22 - Game Developers, 9:00 amMarch 23 - Google Maps / Geo, 4:00 pmMarch 24 - Commerce, 9:00 amMarch 25 - Developer Tools / GWT, 9:00 amMarch 28 - Accessibility, 4:00 pmMarch 29 - Google Apps / Enterprise, 4:00 pmEach of the challenges will focus on one of our developer products and has two rounds.
